I’m Sami, a civil engineer in Hamburg. For more than seven years I have planned, designed and managed construction projects, from structural design and site management to 5G network rollout and renovation planning.
My journey
My work covers the whole life of a building. I started in structural design, calculating residential and commercial buildings of up to 13 storeys, and then managed the construction of an industrial complex with three production halls on a 55,000 m² site.
Since then I have worked in shop fitting, fibre-optic rollout and project controlling, taken on full project responsibility for more than 100 mobile-network sites and, most recently, planned more than 200 renovation projects, from 3D scans and point clouds to BIM models and execution drawings.
Alongside planning, I like to make work faster: I built planning templates and automation for my team, and I build the small engineering tools on this site.
